Precision
All GOFuture lathe variants can be automated either with Benzinger’s own loading and unloading units with the shortest part changeover times or with individual robot cells. The addition of a bar feeder also allows for complete bar processing on the lathe.
Modern controls from Siemens and Fanuc with a variety of programming options complete the overall lathe package.
A wide range of turning spindles with spindle bores from 26 to 42 mm with radial and axial runout of < 0.7 µm and speeds of up to 8000 rpm are available in combination with a wide range of clamping systems for powerful but also sensitive workpiece clamping.
The Y-axes expand the application possibilities of the CNC lathe in machining and further reduce setup times, as precise adjustment of the tools at the center height can be carried out via the CNC axes of the lathe itself.
Versions B1, B2, B3, B4, B6
GOFuture-B1 - Lathe
The linear tool design provides maximum stability and the shortest chip-to-chip time in a lathe.
In combination with the Y-axis, the tools are arranged in several rows one above the other.
In addition to turning tools, high-frequency spindles, grinding spindles, milling spindles, air turbines, etc. can also be placed on the lathe.
GOFuture B2 - lathe
The tool turret with 12 VDI-20 tool stations and optionally 6 controlled tool stations can be supplemented with additional linear tool blocks to combine the precision and variety of a linear structure with the flexibility of a tool turret. The advantages of the Y axis are fully utilized.
GOFuture B3 - lathe
The B3 variant is equipped with a main and counter spindle, which allows for complete machining of workpieces on the lathe.
Tool turrets with VDI 25 mounting with 12 (optionally 16) individually driven stations are used. Here too, the advantages of the Y axis are fully exploited.
A high-precision version of the turret interface is available for VDI 25 holders to optimize setup times. The reproducible repeat accuracy when inserting the tool holder is well below 0.01 mm.
This means that the tools in the holder can be measured externally and time-consuming re-setup on the CNC lathe is no longer necessary.
GOFuture B3 – Lathe
GOFuture B4 - lathe
The GOFuture B4 lathe is equipped with a main spindle and a tailstock.
The tailstock can be designed as a pneumatically driven bushing or as a CNC tailstock.
The sensitive pressure of the tailstock center is very important to us in order to avoid deformation of the filigree components. Turret heads with VDI 25 holders are used with 12 (optionally 16) driven tool positions. The advantages of the Y axis are fully demonstrated.
To optimize the setup time, a high-precision version of the turret interface is available for VDI-25 holders.
The reproducible repeat accuracy for tool holder insertion is less than 0.01 mm.
This means that the tools can be measured externally in the holder and time-consuming re-setups on the lathe are no longer necessary.
