Ghiringhelli S.p.A. is a leading company in the production of Numerically Controlled centerless grinding machines. They are accurate, reliable and high tech machines which find their application in different industrial sectors such as automotive, bearing industry, electric motors, tools, hydraulics, etc..
For more than 70 years Rettificatrici Ghiringhelli have been well-known all over the World for the high quality of their centerless grinders and for their ability to supply tailor-made solutions according to the customer’s needs.
The APG series is an example of that ability: it is a series of centerless grinding machines, easy to use, highly performing and with a wide range of accessories.

1921

Giuseppe Ghiringhelli and Mario Pisoni establish their own activity with the name of “Ghiringhelli&Pisoni Sdf” and with the main aim to perform turning operations.
 

1930

The company improves its technology and needs more accurate grinding operations to support the turning ones.
 

1935

Giuseppe Ghiringhelli decides to design the first centerless grinding machine to be installed in his company.
 

1958

Giuseppe Ghiringhelli assigns the managing and operating direction of the company to his daughter Antonietta and his sons Carlo and Paolo.
 

1955

The partner Mario Pisoni decides to leave and the centerless grinding machines become the main product of the company.
 

1948

The company, having overcome the after war slump, becomes more and more consolidated and starts to export its centerless grinding machines.
 

1961

The company moves to the current seat in via Asmara (Voldomino).
 

1969

A second bigger industrial building is completed.
 

1965

All sub-contractor works are abandoned and the centerless grinding machines become the only product of the company.
 

1975

At the EMO World exhibition in Paris the company is one of the first manufacturers to show a Numerically Controlled centerless grinding machine.
 

1972

The company reaches an overall industrial surface of 21.000 sqm.
 

1989

The range of centerless grinding machines is steadily renewed up to 21 different models with 14 different types, all of them accomplished according to the customer’s needs.
 

1981

The company changes its name into “Rettificatrici Ghiringhelli S.p.A.”
 

1992

The company sells its first centerless grinding machines in China and expands its international markets.
 

2008

The APG series (High Production Ghiringhelli) is launched on the market.
 

2000

Rettificatrici Ghiringhelli gets the quality certification UNI EN ISO9001.
 

1999

Patrizia and Silvia, Paolo’s daughters, take over the management of the company and start a business renewal project.
 

2015

The new series of CF centerless grinding machines (with fixed center) is completed with the CF600 model in addition to the previous CF400.
 

2013

The machine cast-iron beds are replaced with the mineral casting frames which grant a perfect ecological balance.
 

2010

The company installs a modern photovoltaic system composed of 480 solar panels for the production of 88kWp.
 

2016

The company proudly celebrates its 95 years of foundation with a bigger headquarters and with the first integrated system with a centerless grinding machine and a handling integrated robot.
 

2019

At the EMO in Hanover is exhibited the APG-DT, the first centerless grinding machine in the World with the new CNC Siemens SINUMERIK ONE for the creation of its Digital Twin.
 

2021

On September 12th 2021 the company celebrated its 100th anniversary and to celebrate this important milestone it has presented a new line of centerless grinding machines called A80 (Anniversary80) which increases the product range.
